Review of Married To the Streets And You by: KB Cole

You walk into a world where nothing is as it seems. Its funny how life intersects and you have no idea what will come once all paths cross. What you think you knew, has no place when these truths start getting revealed.

Character Breakdown

Terray- He has always been known as the dedicated church boy. He is a husband "Allegedly" to Anais and he was always known for routine. His life was bland until he was introduced to a life of crime during his tenure as prison warden. To go from in the shadows to now being the man on top. Has caused a power trip that makes him feel invincible. When he starts trying to step on toes of men who really do this. The question remains will he be able to stand once that pressure hits his chest.

Anais- She is a wife, Loving Daughter, Doctor and dedicated to the life placed before her. Afraid to face that her marriage is in trouble because she was raised to believe that marriage was forever. She is docile with a immer strength she didn't know was in her until she has to face some hard truths about the reality she calls life.

Cyren- You can just call him "Daddy". His swag is befittitting a young, self-made rich savage. He is Loyal to those closest to his heart. He is a husband who doesn't allow himself to get caught up in the hoes who fall in love with the fame. He has a high set of principals that he adheres to. But with his life, comes many problems. After almost losing his life he will come to know just who is rocking and who is against him.

Laniece- She is the wife to Cyren a man who owns these streets. Loving him should be easy but the saying "if you want a man to provide for you, expect to have a busy man" is a reality that has become hard to accept. It is in that point she finds herself unfulfilled in a life that is glamorous on the outside but leaves her empty and looking for whats missing.

Story from my perspective

Terray no matter how you slice him is a bastard seed devil spawn. He is a selfish man who is good at hiding his evil. You feel for a beautiful flower like Anais because you know that such poison can only wilt her petals. You can see how he manipulates those around him. He has everyone believing he is the big man on campus. One thing about a fraud, their hands will eventually be shown.

Anais can feel the change in her husband but she does not see what he is, until it literally slaps her in the face. Once she knows she can't unknow. When she takes a stand for her rights she actually ends up losing more than she bargained for. She is then left to ask was it all really worth it in the end.

Cyren is good at eliminating threats. When he has a chance meeting with the beautiful Anais that results in his life being saved. He is grateful for the angelic stranger. That is until he realizes that she is the wife of his newest threat(one he doesn't take seriously nut a threat is a threat none the less) and he has to figure out if this is coincidence or just an unfortunate play by fate.

Laniece has more than any girl could ask for and it is still not enough. She doesn't know how to make her husband see that this life is nothing without a man to truly share it with. It is that thinking that takes her from standing ten toes down to becoming the type of problem she never thought she would be.

The emotions in this book were raw and uncut. The same breath I laughed with, in the next moment had me boohooing like a baby. This author wrote a story that really hit home on a lot of issues like sleeping with the enemy or being ungrateful for the small blessings until it is to late. I related with these characters and actually took a moment after the book ended to contemplate my life and my journey to myself and that to me is what a good book does. It makes you look deeper at the message and relate it to yourself.
